Position
Summary:
The Financial Analyst will support the Corporate FP&A team that partners with Sr.
Corporate functional leaders.
The role will help prepare financial insights and deliverables to enable the Corporate FP&A team to support senior leadership's long- and short-term strategy through business acumen, deep financial expertise and solid communication.
This team member supports lab operations including cost per test, driving improved financial visibility and accountability, as well as increased profitability while maintaining world-class service and quality.
Core
Responsibilities:
Partner with Lab Operations and Operations Finance to implement daily, weekly and monthly reporting tools to measure actual versus standard/baseline costTrack and analyze trends, variances, concerns and opportunities regarding operations department cost center expenses and variances, headcount, and capital spending and provide proactive recommendations to optimize efficiency and productivityPartner with Cost Accounting to ensure accurate, timely financial results.
Develop understanding of accrual process and balances through quarterly Balance Sheet reviews with Accounting teamDetermine fixed and variable costs and calculate and analyze volume leverage on fixed costs (e.
g.
indirect labor salaries, rent and equipment)Support the implementation of a standard cost system for our Clinical and Pharma laboratoriesReport actual results, provide budget vs actual reporting analysis on variances and help drive process improvementsPerforms month-end review of results to ensure accuracy.
Help implement continual process automation with existing systems and technology.
Present data in cohesive reports that provide clear communication and recommendations to help facilitate decision making.
Provide objective business consultancy, business case assessments and financial guidance to administrative teams.
Help prepare presentations and analysis in support of the forecasts and quarter-end reporting for senior management and the Board.
Researches, analyzes and synthesizes data from multiple sources into business information as directed and by self-identification of business information needsEnsure the integrity of key processes by understanding systems, flow of transactions, internal controls and recommend efficiency and effectiveness improvementsFoster working relationships cross-functionallyUndertake ad-hoc projects as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics; MBA/CPA/CMA preferred1
years of finance and accounting experience with progressive responsibilityExperience in manufacturing or laboratory environment preferredKnowledge of US GAAP and technical pronouncements preferred.
Experience with Oracle preferredAbility to balance multiple priorities and adjust workload as neededAbility to work under tight deadlinesProficient Microsoft Excel skills About the Company:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
